  • The synthesis of a series of novel platinum metalloreceptors.
  • The characterization of these macrocycles dynamic behaviour in solution by 1H NMR spectroscopy.
  • The investigation of the binding behaviour these macrocycles with neutral organic compounds as well as neutral transition metal complexes.

  • The incorporation of terpyridine moietys into the dendritic structure aids syntheses by removing chirality issues when compared to bipyridine structures
  • The elongation of the lifetime of complexes containing terpyridine ligands for storage/sensing at terpy complex
  • The application of recently developed organic chemistry to the "building block" approach to coordination chemistry
  • Use of spectroelectrochemical, luminescent and vibrational spectroscopies in the investigation of photophysical properties of metallodendrimers
