Montréal
is the largest city in Québec and the second largest in
Canada,
with a metropolitan population of about 3 million people. Montréal is
one of two large islands in this part of the St. Lawrence River and its
highest point,
Mount Royal,
over looks downtown Montréal and the St.-Lawrence river. Montréal's
climate varies a lot over the year. May through October are arguably the most pleasant
months for outdoor activities, unless you prefer winter sports!
Average temperatures vary from 10-25°F
(-13° to -5°C) in January to 65-80°F (18° to 27°C) in July.
