6. Invitations to Join European Research Networks

The research outlined in section 2 has drawn international interest for collaborative research and an invitation to join the established European research network: "From Molecules to Materials: a Concerted Approach to Nanometre-sized Oligometallic Complexes with Predetermined Configurations and Functions" based on the synthetic methodology and expertise developed at the Université de Montréal. Professor Sebastiano Campagna from the University of Messina, Italy, the coordinator for this project, extended the invitation on behalf of the network members (seven in total). Six of these researchers are from the EU and one is from Switzerland. Our research was successfully funded by the NSERC's Collaborative Research Opportunities (CRO) program to develop nanometre-sized oligometallic complexes with predetermined configurations and functions. Our contributions are outlined in sections 2.1 and 2.2.
