Course description
The course of Quantitative Analysis in Psychology 1 enables students to learn, revise and deepen various basic statistical techniques and apply them in the field of psychology. One of the goals of this course is to develop the "statistical intuitions" that enable a better understanding of the scientific process. Throughout the session, the focus will be on two types of statistical analysis: descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Courses will mainly interpret the results of data collected and analyzed in class. Exercises will also help develop critical sense and statistical intuitions. Several concepts and basic statistical techniques will be discussed in this course: descriptive analysis such as mean, graphics, frequencies and correlations, as well as inferential analysis as simple regression, t-test and hypothesis testing. |
